Pipe band leader and technology specialist Matt Fraser has launched an updated version of his practice-tracking app, now called Octero, designed to help pipers and drummers stay motivated and connected. The free app allows users to record practice sessions, track repertoire, set goals, and share progress with the wider music community. To celebrate the 2026 World Championships, Octero is offering prizes for users who complete its Worlds Challenge by logging 20 practice sessions before the event. Read more here.
